You only get 420p not full HD but it is still miles better than standard resolution.
If you have an HD TV then you want this cable!
This cheap one works fine.
Had to search the Web for how to install it but you have to plug the new cable in to the Wii then put the green wire where the yellow wire was (from the original cable), which gives a usable B&W image, change the Wii settings to Component video then put the green wire in the green component video socket along with the rest of the CV wires.

It does sharpen & brighten the picture compared to the cable the wii comes with. Although the cable I received was not white as pictured, mine was grey which was fine. Buy it!

It came quick, and i tried it on my 42' Philips Tv. The image was really clear BUT there were jaggies all over the place. Well i guess this is what you can get for 2 bucks. I'll try nintendo cables!

Personally I resent the prices often charged for cables on the high street and similar, but this is a bargain. Wanted it as had just bought decent 37" LCD tv. The result you get is definitely better than the standard rgb cable supplied with the wii when tested on guitar hero and mario kart, but don't expect anything too amazing as the wii is not designed to give you amazing graphics in the first place (as compared to PS3 etc), but this is not the fault of the cable.
