Product Description
The most critically acclaimed Wii game ever returns, as Mario battles Bowser and his minions across an even more bizarre galaxy of worlds. The first game is already acknowledged as the greatest 3D platform game ever made and this new sequel adds to the excitement with long-time Mario ally Yoshi. Not only will the little green dinosaur give you a ride wherever you want, but you can aim his tongue with the Wii remote and gobble up bad guys and bonuses alike. Eat a fruit and Yoshi will turn into a giant balloon or gobble a hot red pepper and he'll suddenly run at super speed. You'll need all the help you can get too with even bigger and meaner bosses and some super hard secret levels. With a healthy mix of new tricks and old this is perfect fun for all the family and one of the best games on the Wii so far. Key Features - Super Sequel: The most famous hero in gaming returns for his most amazing adventure yet, filled with new worlds, new enemies and new allies.
- Yoshi's Galaxy: Yoshi makes his first appearance in a Galaxy game, swinging across gaps with his tongue and gaining different powers by eating special fruits.
- Mr Driller: Play with new power-ups such as the drill that lets Mario dig through the earth and into new areas - or even into the interior of planetoids.
- Bullet Time: New features include time switches that slow down time for a few seconds, while turning the whole screen black and white.
- Hard mode: For Mario experts new hidden stages provide a stiffer challenge than anything in the first game. Are you tough enough to beat them?
- Mario collects stars as he travels from galaxy to galaxy. Every level is new, but the game retains the charm, sense of wonder and beauty in line with Mario s history. Mario works his way through the various levels, sometimes upside-down, sometimes floating from place to place.

For Grandson July 31, 2010 Daisy (UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This again was a Birthday present for our Grandson, who was very pleased, and again great service.
My son really loved it July 30, 2010 Sharon My son was delighted to get this game and has spent lots of time enjoying it. Although it's another Mario game he says that there are new challenges.
super mario galaxy 2 July 28, 2010 pc151273 Disappointed with this purchase as was unable to play the game due to the fact it was a US game, I was not advised of when I purchased the game. I had to go and buy another game, I tried to contact the seller to see if I could return the game and get a refund but the seller did not reply so very disappointed! Would never buy another wii game from Amazon due to this mistake!
Brilliant! July 28, 2010 J. Marsh (Chatham, Kent) What more can I say than the kids are never off this game?! Where other games have fallen by the wayside, the Mario Galaxy ones are always at the top of the pile. This game is well thought-out, challenging and interesting, the graphics are stunning. Whilst it contains many of the elements of the original Mario Galaxy, it also brings in new things such as being able to use Yoshi. Whilst being challenging, the game is suitable down to quite a young age as long as they can master the controls. My children are 5 and 9 and the 5-year-old is very adept at all the actions required, even if it does take him a bit longer than my older child to complete a particular level. Overall this was an excellent buy, my only gripe is that my partner and I can never get to the telly any more! The kids had to put half each towards the game so that there were no arguments and so far they have shared nicely. I would definitely recommend this game.
Super Mario indeed July 27, 2010 The Great Chain I loved the first game and awaited eagerly the second. Mario galaxy 2 is superb. I am well into the game at present (85 stars) and am enchanted. Some levels are just great leaving you marvel at the creation of them. Sound score as with the first is really good with each level having a suitable track to match the tempo/type of level. Theres no denying the game is like the first to an extent but who didn't wan't more of the first anyway. The game is hard though and from what i read after the first 120 stars you are in for a real test so the game in my view is unlikely to be completed by real youngsters and should be a real challenge for platformer enthusiasts. Nintendo know they are on a winner with these so i am sure a suitable sequel to the mario collection will appear before too long.
