Amazon.co.uk Review There never was a video game of Casino Royale, but now Activision is making up for lost time with a title that incorporates both Casino Royale and its immediate sequel, Quantum of Solace. It’s primarily a first-person shooter, but it does switch to an over-the-shoulder view when hiding under cover or taking part in interactive cut scenes. Daniel Craig is a big games fan and has taken a personal interest in the game | Almost everything in the game can be destroyed or damaged | Stealth is just as important as gunplay when you’re James Bond | Close combat switches out of first person view for a more cinematic effect | Just like the Bond movies, the game offers a mixture of action and stealth, with the chance to take down enemies instantly if they don’t see you. You’ll almost always be outgunned, but you’re given clues as to which strategy to take by the changing music. Bond's aresenal has been slimmed down in the new films, so it makes sense that there aren’t many gadgets in the game. There is an online multiplayer mode that pays homage to past classic Bond games such as GoldenEye 007. Which should hopefully make Bond’s video game comeback as successful as his cinematic return. Key Features - You only live twice: Recreate the stories of both Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace in one game, including deleted scenes and new side missions.
- Duty calls: The game uses the same graphics technology as Call of Duty 4, including bullets that realistically pass through wood and other materials.
- You know his name: The game features not only the voice and likeness of Daniel Craig, but also Judi Dench as M, Mathieu Amalric as villain Dominic Greene, and Olga Kruylenko as Camille.
- Shaken not stirred: A mix of first- and third-person viewpoints allows for both shooter action and tense stealth-based exploration.
- Licence to kill: Battle friends in the online mode in a wide range of game types.
About the Developer: Treyarch One of publisher Activision’s biggest internal studios, Treyarch have worked on many of the company’s best known titles, from the Spider-Man movie tie-ins and spin-offs to several of the Call of Duty sequels and, of course, the new James Bond game, Quantum of Solace.

Awesome April 30, 2010 DrS Awesome COD4 engine powered shooter with real James Bond feeling and fantastic music. This is how a Bond game has to be ! Well done Activision and Treyarch!!!
Bond....James Bond April 13, 2010 Mrs. H. J. Roppolo (Uk) First Of All i dont have the game i went round my cousins house to play it. I was overwhelmed with the great graphics, great story and great takedown moves. This game is worth the price. It with leave you on the edge of your seat, but the story line is quite short but packed with action. Your will uncover surprises when playing this game. I highly recomend it i have not finished the game yet so i will have to buy it myself and i cant wait. It has lots of shock and surprises around every corner. In this game they also have diffrent missions instead of mostley sniping or something like that. Best bond game yet.....
a must buy February 13, 2010 Liz Hinde (U. oh look i found a penny) an amazing game a good choice of weaponry, no gore and the detail is just mind blowing I guarantee you will love it. This game came before the actual delivery date and even dispatched early. So for this price it's really worth it.
Bond is back...with an mediocre bang November 25, 2009 C. Masters-Kelly (London, UK) It's fair to say that the last excellent James Bond game we had was GoldenEye on the Nintendo 64, all those years ago. The last good James Bond game we had was Everything or Nothing. But the licence, is now Activision's and their first attempt is this, Quantum of Solace.
The game is not bad in any means but it's certainly not good and unfortunately, doesn't match up with Everything or Nothing and definitely not, GoldenEye.
Quantum of Solace employs a mix of missions from both of Daniel Craig's Bond adventures so far, Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. But really, in truth, this game should be called Casino Royale, because only around four missions are based on Craig's 2008 Bond outing.
Daniel Craig, Judi Dench and all the other main cast members from Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace voice their characters and provide likeness. While it may not seem much, it really does make a big difference in the realism to the game.
The story mode, at a disappointing 12 missions length isn't very exciting or thrilling and doesn't really entice the player. There's not very much to say about it, except that it's a failure.
Now, the online multiplayer. Activision have clearly tried to add Call of Duty elements to it, but don't really pull it off. There's still a different element to it, which doesn't make it as good as the best-selling COD franchise. However, their are quite a few game options and the game-play is smooth.
So, all in all, Quantum of Solace is a mediocre game which doesn't really provide the excitement and action a real James Bond game should provide. A reasonable attempt from Activision, which hopefully will be built on for the future Bond games.
